Monthly Meeting for June 2013

Patrick Henry Chapter, Texas Society, Sons of the American Revolution held their monthly meeting Sat, June 15th.  Our guest speaker was Compatriot John Knox, of this chapter, who gave a great presentation on the history of flags.  He began his discussion showing some examples of the earliest flags to reach the new world, then progressing through flags of the colonizing countries of North America leading up to the Revolutionary War and ending his presentation paying specific attention on the history of the American Flag and many of its changes over time.  We wish to thank Compatriot Knox for his time and for sharing with us his passion for “vexillology” and his collection of flags!
