Chapter Meeting – March 19th

Compatriots and Friends of the SAR,

We held our monthly meeting Saturday March 19th at Texas land and Cattle Co and it was an active and productive meeting.  We were fortunate to have a fantastic speaker, Jeff Murreh who gave an outstanding presentation on “the Role of Texas in the American Revolution”.  If you haven’t herd Jeff speak on one his topics check him out over on Facebook at

We awarded two of our Chapter members, John Knox and Kris Navarro, the Bronze Roger Sherman Medal for faithful service to the Patrick Henry Chapter. This medal is awarded for significant service to the Chapter, State, or National Society.  Congratulations on your awards gentlemen.

We also inducted two new members into our Chapter, Ron Moulton, who is now leading our new Drum and Fife group and Conor Kirsch who we hope will become an active member on one of our numerous committees.

And as always, we look forward to seeing you next month!

George Washington’s Birthday Luncheon

Compatriots and Friends of the SAR,

We gathered together on February 20th to celebrate the birthday of our first President, George Washington.  As was said in his eulogy, he was “the first in war- the first in peace- and the first in the hearts of his countrymen….

Our distinguished speaker was William Federer, who spoke on his topic of “An American Minute” and “Miracles in American History”.

I highly recommend his books and for more information on his radio program, please visit his site at:

The Color Guard made up of members of both the Patrick Henry and Alexander Hamilton Chapters posted and Retired the Colors,

and members of the Sybil Lundington CAR Chapter read “The American’s Creed”

Our next chapter meeting will be this Saturday the 19th at 11AM at Texas Land and Cattle Company,  6007 North IH 35.  We look froward to seeing you there!
