Texas Boys at commander in chiefs guard quarters at Valley Forge


Compatriots Past Chapter President John Knox, Past Chapter President Henry Shoenfelt and Current Chapter President Wayne Courreges standing in front of George Washington’s Commander-in-Chiefs Guard Quarters (cabins) at his headquarters at Valley Forge.  All three participated in the “March Out” of Valley Forge reenacting June 19, 1778 when George Washington’s Continental Army marched out of Valley Forge.  Interestingly George Washington’s army marched in to Valley Forge on December 19, 1777.  All three are descendants of those serving in George Washington’s Army and are proud members of the Society of the Descendants of Washington’s Army at Valley Forge:  http://www.valleyforgesociety.com/
